My co-worker is eating Cup-o-Noodles across from me. I admit... I'm sort of craving them now.
Thanksgiving was awesome. I was mostly thankful for the break. The week OF Thanksgiving was completely dead at work - after I thought it was going to be insanely busy. It was painful to be here. By Wednesday, I cut out right at 4:30 – not stopping to work out or anything. I had to get out of the blasted building. And even though we didn't have Friday off as part of the holiday, I took that too.
Right now I wish I had today off too. Yep. That much is going on. I think I may take a 30 minute lunch and pop off to work out at 4... so I'm mostly done by the time the gym starts filling up. *sigh*
Anyway, back to the past week. Molly abandoned me on Wednesday morning (tee hee) for her Thanksgiving extravaganza in Cali. I perused Ikea after work with Cupcake and then went home... calling the Boy on the way because I just didn't really want to be alone. He wasn't in the mood to play, but came over to borrow the 'net and upload his project he had just completed before being kicked out of the Library. We talked for a while – including hanging out in the garage for about an hour, talking about the space and building crate houses and how that size really was a perfect size for newlyweds or singles...
Thursday morning I drove up to my Grandma's and gorged ourselves on tasty, tasty food. More family came over later and we ate pie and visited and played with the cousin-spawn. It was good. We left late. I drove to Brigham to stay the night.
On Friday we SLEPT IN. I just cared about getting movies for cheap (which I did, thankyouverymuch) and those are usually on sale ALLLLL day. We took our time getting going and heading out the door. We hit WalMart (sucked) and Shopko (score!) before leaving town and heading south. Cupcake and I wandered around Target in Riverdale and then JoAnn's while the parents did shopping at JoAnn's and then Walmart. We picked up quite the stash-o-crap. And I decided I don't mind finding out what I'm getting anymore... and I also like that I don't live at home and my folks spend a lot more money on us for Christmas.
Yes, I am a greedy little punk.
THEN we headed to Ikea. I forgot to mention that on the way to Ogden the Boy called (of course) to see what I was doing. I told him I was shopping and he told me what he was looking for. I called him after Target/Joann/Walmart and said would be at Ikea later and would call him from there so we could go to the WalMart in Ogden to pick through movies (after my mom had revealed that the movies he was looking for were THERE in a 3-pack).
My dad insisted we were going to eat at In-n-Out in Draper. The crazyhead. Thankfully the police directing traffic INTO THE PARKING LOT deterred him from making us stand in line for the next 3 hours for what I consider a California-only "treat" (Thanks for ruining that, In-n-Out). Instead we had meatball dinners – $1 each – at Ikea. I called the boy right after we ate but he was heading out the door to take his sister shopping. He thought I meant I was going to call him when I got back to Brigham....
After a bunch of crap at Ikea (seriously...), we left and drove home. I called the Boy when we got back about 9:00 and then left to meet him in Ogden, determining that I might as well stay another nothing in Brigham.... mostly because it was a closer drive back from Ogden AND I didn't really want to leave all of my stuff packed into my car, sitting in the middle of Ogden at night. There are some shady weirdos living there.
We wandered around Target again and then WalMart and that was it. I was home by 12. Nicely done.
Saturday.... I basically got up, showered and left... it took FOREVER to get out of Brigham... I had to return things to Shopko & AutoZone, wash my car and fill up with gas. But when I got home, I managed to get everything done faster than I thought I would. I was in my pajamas by about 4:30... playing MarioKart alone... after watching part of THE game. I called the Boy to see if he wanted to play, but he didn't answer. So I watched Down With Love instead (funny/cute movie!)... then Star Trek. He called back in the middle of that. He had been asleep or out and about all day. Lame. Hee hee.
Then Molly got home and we chatted and that was that...
Sunday was church and then Home Teachers and then the Boy came over and I got all of my part done for the website so it's all him now. We talked for a while after that.
Oh and Molly cracked me up with her diesel truck honking. tee hee.
Molly, is it just me or is it weird that he's all uber close when we're working, but sitting on the couch together required a pillow buffer? LOL
AND I've discovered that hot chocolate is giving me severe back pains... yeah, THAT deserves a big ol' "wtf?"
Anyway... hmm... now I just need something to do for the next 5 hours...
Yep... quite the slow day. Maybe I'll go to lunch NOW...
